The babies are here!

Foaling season is an extended period of time with little sleep, lots of stress and plenty of anticipation. This year we had our seasoned mare Parfait bred to Landkonig and our maiden mare Feliz bred to Rubignon. We LOVE both stallion's progeny and had some confidence the breedings would give us the exceptional quality sporthorses we strive to produce.

Feliz was HUGE and not totally sure what the heck was happening; at 3:30am on the summer solstice, two days before her due date she, kicked her stall door incessantly demanding I stay with her, by 5am she had a doll of a filly and a textbook perfect foaling.

Feliz is an amazing mother and LOVES being a mom! We are excited to watch this refined girl turn grey and can hardly wait to realy see her move!

If Feliz was big Parfait was bursting at the seams! She went nearly THREE WEEKS past her due date but man did it pay off!

Saturday morning at 2:45am she was in her normal nap spot giving me her normal sassy glare. At 3:30 am there was a HUGE filly already on her feet looking for her first meal! Well played Parfait, well played...

The filly is a little folded up, as big as she is we are not surprised! She is as sweet and friendly as she is adorable and we got a good frosting of chrome, just the way I like it! In. Love.

We are SOOOOO happy to be done with foaling season and looking forward to riding again and getting some sleep! Not to mention we get to cuddle a couple of ADORABLE babies who will no doubt make some superior sporthorses in the future!

That face though 😍
